differences among languages are more evident in vocabulary and phraseology,
which are caused by the differences in cultures. Each language and dialect has
got words not having one-word translation in other languages. They are so called
words with no direct equivalents in other languages, as a rule are the signs of
local culture. In this article we are going to contemplate the definitions of
words with no direct equivalents, and some ways of their translation -
transliteration and transcription.
