THE CATEGORY OF ALTERITY IN CONJUNCTIVE CONSTRUCTIONS (on
the materials of Russian language)
ID: 0421200038\XXXX
Keywords: alterity, communicative category,
implicit means of expression, conjunctive constructions
The article views grammatical syntactical means of expressing the category of
alterity, exemplified in Russian conjuctive constructions. Since the category is
implicit, determining its syntactical means of expression is based on the
contextual interpretation of the linguistic material, which is dominant by the
semantic issue ‘other’ or one of its specifications. The category under study
does not have its own grammar status in modern Russian, it is peripheral, thus,
it can be compressed with other linguistic means expressing it indirectly.
