AMANIPULATIVE ADVERTISING DISCOURSE IN EVERYDAY LIFE: STRUCTURE, PRAGMATIC AND LINGUISTIC FEATURES

  This paper deals with manipulative discourse of various kinds which we encounter in everyday life (imposing services by phone or in direct interpersonal communication, Internet advertising etc.). The universality of its structure (stages) is shown, determined by the use of psychological impact methods (intimidation, i.e. problem creating; proposing the simplest solution; «luring»; persuading, threatening with “punishment”) and tactics of deception. The linguistic and pragmatic features of the manipulative discourse are described.

SOCIOLINGUISTIC CHARACTERISTICS OF ADVERTISEMENT LANGUAGE

  This article analyzes the text of the English-language advertising as a special type of discourse. It examines morphological and syntactic features that are directly dependent on the target audience, which this type of text is usually created for, and provides some observations made in the course of practical linguistic studies of English advertisement texts. A proportional system of the most stereotypical male and female social roles is worked out here that helps to analyze different types of advertisement texts according to their grammatical functions, which helps not only to detect their impact in our everyday life but also gives a field for the further development of advertisement as a type of discourse.

The prevalence of affinity structures has been decreasing since the 18th century. AUTOPOIESIS OF EMOTIONS

The article deals with the processes of linguistic categorization of" atypical" (mixed) emotions. Through the biological metaphor of fragmentation and regeneration, as the processes of asexual reproduction, the formation of new symbols for the emotional experiences is shown. Among these processes, special attention is paid to the opening of the emotive valences of words-categories of the emotions, in which emotional remains dominant, but varies the emotional-semantic component, and the mixed emotions.

The authors of the article show the scenario of discourse unfolding and offer ways to study political media discourses from the standpoint of various concepts of political struggle: Antonio Gramsci, Michel Foucault, Cornelius Castoriadis and Norman Fairclough.
